Every visit begins with a Zone Technique assessment, not a question about where it hurts. We check your nervous system across all six zones using specific reflex points to find where the disruption is actually coming from. That assessment happens at the start of every visit, not just the first one, because the interference pattern changes as your nervous system responds to care. We’re checking what’s happening in your body today, not repeating the same protocol every session.
Once the assessment is done, we adjust at the specific levels where interference showed up. For an adult, that might mean a quick, precise adjustment you barely feel. For an infant, it’s a different world: fingertip pressure, sometimes just a few ounces of force, nothing like what you’d picture with a traditional adjustment. A newborn’s spine and nervous system are still developing, so the contact has to match that.
Most visits move quickly once we know what we’re looking for. Parents ask us constantly if it’s going to hurt their kid. Most infants sleep through it or barely notice, and that’s usually the first thing that surprises a parent.

A newborn’s nervous system isn’t a smaller version of an adult’s, it’s still wiring itself. That’s why we don’t use one adjustment style and apply it to everyone who walks through our door in Plano. Your first visit starts with a conversation about what brought you in, followed by a full Zone Technique assessment of your nervous system. We evaluate all six zones and identify where interference is present, then explain what we found before making any adjustment. The first visit runs 15 to 20 minutes for the assessment and adjustment, plus additional time for the intake conversation. There’s no lengthy onboarding paperwork or extended consultation before we actually assess your nervous system. The assessment is the consultation.
You leave knowing what we found, which zones were under interference, which spinal levels we adjusted, and what care frequency makes sense for your specific presentation.
Not every symptom belongs in our office first. If your child has a sudden high fever, a stiff neck, or looks lethargic and won’t wake up easily, that’s a trip to the emergency room, not a chiropractic visit. The same goes for a baby with a head injury from a fall, or any adult with numbness that’s spreading fast, chest pain, or loss of bladder control. Those need medical evaluation right away, not a nervous system exam from us.
We also want to be honest about conditions like epilepsy or seizure disorders. Some parents ask if Zone Technique can help with these. We won’t tell you it can. The research isn’t there to back that claim, and we’re not going to oversell what we do. If your child has a seizure disorder, that needs a neurologist managing it. We’re glad to work alongside your medical team on general nervous system function, but we’re not a replacement for that care.
A broken bone, a suspected fracture, or a deep cut aren’t chiropractic cases either. If you’ve had recent spine surgery or you’re dealing with an active infection near the spine, we need to talk before we’d adjust you at all.
Here’s the honest truth: sometimes a parent comes in worried about something that’s just a normal developmental phase, a fussy week, a growth spurt. We’ll tell you straight if we don’t think an adjustment is what you need that day. We’d rather say that than have you drive out to see us for nothing.

The first visit is where we go through your history, ask about your daily life, and do a full assessment across all six zones before we touch anything. Follow-up visits are shorter. Once we know where the disruption is coming from, the adjustment itself doesn’t take long, but we’re still checking in each time to see what’s changed.

Zone Technique certification isn’t a weekend course. It requires completing the full training curriculum directly through the Zone Technique organization, demonstrating clinical proficiency in the complete six-zone assessment and adjustment protocol, and maintaining active certification. Dr. Korrin completed his Zone Technique certification after earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Parker University in Dallas. If it’s the right day for an adjustment, we make a specific, low-force correction at that zone. Most first visits run longer than a regular follow-up because we want the full picture before we start.
This depends on the person and what’s going on, so we won’t give you a set number up front. Some parents notice a shift in a child’s sleep or fussiness within a couple of visits. Adults dealing with a longer-standing pattern, like recurring headaches, often need more time since we’re addressing the zone driving the disruption, not just masking the symptom. We’ll check in with you at each visit and tell you if we’re not seeing the progress we’d expect.
Yes. There’s parking right at the building, so you won’t need to hunt for a spot before your visit. That matters more than people think when you’re bringing a newborn in a car seat or a toddler who doesn’t want to walk. We know families juggle enough getting out the door, and we want the actual arrival to be the easy part of your visit.
It can be part of the picture, but we won’t promise it solves everything. A headache sometimes traces back to tension in the pelvis or neck rather than the head itself, which is why we check all six zones instead of just where it hurts. For growth-related aches in school-age kids, we look at posture and movement patterns too. If a symptom looks like something beyond a nervous system issue, we’ll tell you and point you toward the right kind of care.
We see newborns, using fingertip-level pressure that’s nothing like what an adult receives. A baby’s nervous system is still wiring itself, so our approach is completely different from how we’d work with a teenager or adult. Many of our infant patients come in after mom has already been seen for Webster Technique during pregnancy, so we’re often meeting the whole family at different stages.
